How often do we get to call someone friend. Not just a quick aquaintance but a honest to goodness friend. Someone that will take care of you when you’re sick or let you know you don’t look so good or tell you you look great when you need the cheering up. Someone who will sit and stuff your face with or just listen to your rants or sadness. True real friends I was told you can count on one hand.
We have different levels and kinds of friends or we should.
I had a friend who was 79 years old. He didn’t act like it, he was always busy always doing something, always some project going on. His imagination was far from senile and dimentia was just a word in a dictionary. I learned so much from him, I loved to tease him and he enjoyed the ribbing as well. We don’t know what each second brings to us, we should hold on to the good times. He left all of us with the best memories, a true character. May you rest in peace Boyd Milton Hone. Or I could say, I’m sure you’ll keep God real busy too.
